S2E4: Ice luv Coco

Travis, Gouge and Hilary celebrate Ice-T's 60th birthday by giving a couple of his early movies the Cinema Chop Shop treatment. First up is New Jack City (1991) where Ice-T goes undercover to infiltrate Wesley Snipes' criminal empire at the height of the crack epidemic in New York. Then it's a worse, but no less entertaining film Suriving the Game (1994), Ice-T's first leaing role in a feature film, where he shows a team of sociopathic hunters that man is the most dangerous game. Then we share the submissions for this week's Chop Shopper Challenge film The Heist (2001).

S2E3: SHOUT Art at Your Sweetheart

Love is in the air at Cinema Chop Shop as newlyweds Chris and Rebecca join Travis, Shawn and Hilary for a Valentine's Day episode! The first film up is When Harry Met Sally (1989), a quintessential romantic comedy starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. After the break, it's a flop of a rom-com with a local connection, Forces of Nature (1989) starring Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock, featuring scenes filmed at the infamous I-95 tourist trap South of the Border. S2E2: Sgt Pecker's Homely Hot Tub Van

It's Rock & Roll Movies week at Cinema Chop Shop with Travis, Hilary, Brew Boss Shawn and Joey Poole. That's right, we got the band back together! The first film is The Buddy Holly Story (1978) starring Gary Busey, a biopic that tells the story of Buddy Holly and the events leading up to the Day the Music Died. Then we pitch the unnecessary remake of the unnecessary Beatles rock opera Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978) starring not the Beatles. Everyone has a different opinion as to how to make that movie watchable. Finally, we look at the submissions for the latest Chop Shopper Challenge.

S2E1: Our Sex Worker With A Heart of Gold

Travis, Brew Boss Shawn and Hilary are down on the range to talk westerns. First up is The Stagecoach (1939) featuring John Wayne in a breakout performance as the unintimidatingly-named "Ringo Kid" guiding a stage coach through dangerous territory out West. Then it's a much worse film, The Legend of the Lone Ranger (1981), because the world need another new rendition of the Lone Ranger story, this time without Johnny Depp as Tonto. Finally, we review listener picks for the Chop Shopper Challenge, and share a few of our own for a new look at City Slickers (1991).

Cinema Chop Shop S1E24: Counterculture Movies

Travis, Brew Boss Shawn and Joey Poole gather on the 51st anniversary of the Human "Be-in" at Golden Gate Park to talk about the counterculture movies born from the Summer of Love. First up is I Love You, Alice B. Toklas (1968), a rom-com where Peter Sellars eats pot brownies, one that shouldn't be re-made but is fun to talk about anyway. After the break it's Wild in the Streets (1968) and the gang wonders whether this film is meant for those who celebrate or fear the new ideas spreading in society. Cinema Chop Shop S1E23: Nicolas Cage Movies

Travis, Brew Boss Shawn, Hilary and Joey Poole celebrate Nicolas Cage's birthday with an all-Cage movie episode! First up is Valley Girl (1983), where the Romeo and Juliet-inspired plot lends itself to creative reimagination, and the on-point soundtrack warrants discussion. Then the gang rides with the Coen brothers in Raising Arizona (1987), an underrated film about baby-stealing chock full of over-the-top performances.

Cinema Chop Shop S1E22: New Year's Eve Movies

The true episode 19! Travis is back with Hilary and comic book artist Chris McJunkin to ring in the new year with a classic and a cringer at Cinema Chop Shop. First up the gang get ready for their close-up for the noir classic Sunset Boulevard (1950). After the break, the decidedly inferior, but no less enjoyable slasher flick New Year's Evil (1980), in which the logistics of a serial killing creates confusion.
